The Joys of School

I'm beginning to dislike world geography more and more every day- and today just added to how much I hate this class. We were told at the beginning of the semester that we were to read a section ahead a night and take notes. I have always been very good about doing this.... EXCEPT this weekend!!! I didn't read it and figured that I would be OK.... well guess what! My teacher was apparently having a VERY terrible morning!!! He asked how many of us honestly read this section... GREAT JOB Krysten!!! Didn't see this one coming at ya huh! He then gave us 15 minutes to read this entire section which we would then be quizzed over. WOO HOO!!! I can't retain information- especially on a Monday morning at 8 am! I didn't know how to study this stuff! 15 minutes to know who paid for Columbus's voyage? Who overthrew some empire... I was so overwhelmed I wanted to cry, and of course I couldn't cry because it's Mr. Loe. He is the last person I would want to cry in front of. After 15 minutes of frantically reading this section praying that I could retain a little bit of information to be able to at least pass this class- he began giving questions. Who were 2 major kings who overthrew this empire? GREAT here we go!!! lets fail world geography. I then begin freaking out! That's putting it in a simple way! I started shaking and the kid behind me is humming. I can't concentrate when people are humming and tapping. Not kidding Our teacher is giving us about 10 seconds in between questions, and then you add my little freak out session and the nice kid behind me humming! WOO! I wanted to leave or something but I couldn't leave (another rule) After the quiz I was still having a little panic attack in my seat. I felt like everyone was staring at me. I don't ever want to deal with this again, too bad I will take another one tomorrow morning at 8 am!!!! At least I am prepared for this one. Let me just say this. Just when you think that you can get away with not doing an assignment, you're going to get busted!!! At this point I don't know what my grade is but I do know that tomorrow there is one LARGE lecture coming to first hour World Geography. Mr. Loe is a great teacher- don't get me wrong. But World Geography is possibly the worst hour of my morning, I have 1 friend in that class who is not much of a friend anymore. And then you add on top of all that, there is an incredibly annoying boy who sits behind me! Have you ever had to sit in front of those kids who rock your chair, or smack their gum in your ear, or hum? Ya, Those kids are my partners 99.999% of the time.

After this part of the day I was OK. I love my second and third hour. And fourth is really good on Mondays, because we go bowling! After this year there is OFFICIALLY no more PE classes and ABSOLUTELY NO WORLD GEOGRAPHY classes!!!!! WOOT WOO!!!! :)

Make A Wish Week!!

These next 2 weeks at school have been dedicated to help children who are sick with terminal diseases. Make a wish finds children who are ill with terminal diseases and find out what they would like to do before there time on this earth is over. Some wishes are very simple- wishes range from Kids who want a new car, a trip to Disney land, or even just more time with there family. This organization has granted so many wishes and being a part of it makes me smile just to know that I'm helping a child who doesn't know how much longer they will be here. Make a wish grants 173,810 wishes every 40 minutes. Student Council at the High School has planned SO many activities to help raise money for the child that was assigned to us this year. We have not found out who our Child is but I do know that it's going to be a good year! Today we had our kick off assembly and lunch dates were sold. People were auctioned off and the highest bidder gets to set a date up with that person and have lunch with them. One girl was "sold" for $300, and another boy was "sold" for $375. There is annoying music playing in the halls before and after school and in between passing periods until enough money is paid to shut them off. Tomorrow night there is a student vs. teacher basketball. There is a fashion show, A Mr. GR HS beauty pageant, A night at McDonald's where proceeds will go to Make a wish. Dodge ball tournament, Student and teacher torture, and class competitions. There is so much more going on. We are in a competition with Rock Springs to try and raise the most money. TODAY alone we raised $1375. I'm so happy to be a part of Student Council and to be able to be part of a school that is willing to help such a great organization! Our school is taking donations up to the 12th of February. Please come and participate in any of these activities- including the McDonald's Night. You're not only supporting a great organization but you're also Putting a smile of A child's face- lets all be part of granting this Child's wish and help them!

Happy Birthday to Kaycee!

Last night we celebrated Kaycee's birthday. She's officially 17! We had a small family party. For dinner she chose to have poppy seed chicken, potatoes, and green beans. Dinner was followed with dessert which consisted of brownies, ice cream, and hot fudge. YUM! The movie she chose for us as a family to watch was 10,000 B.C.

A Half Good Half Bad Weekend :)

So... Today at work we had a meeting. Everybody who works there came. Not just house keeping, not just laundry. EVERYBODY! I've been so worried about this meeting. I didn't know what was going on. Until yesterday when I read Kenzee's blog, which totally saved my day! It was nothing to do with me thankfully but still, that had to be the most nerve racking meeting ever! I can't imagine how Kenzee felt. She actually had to talk and confront the situation. The meeting was about people stealing things- From the OWNERS room!!!! Come on guys! I could not believe it. Especially this owner! He scares me to death. I would absolutely under no circumstances steal anything from his room! A paper clip, sticky note- NO!!! You're asking for trouble seriously. Let alone money! I still can't even fathom why someone would do this. I can understand that this person might have needed money but still! Second of all- Kenzee is the worlds greatest boss! And no I'm not just sucking up- she gives you pretty much any day you want off, gives extra hours, and is 1 of the greatest people to talk to. It makes me angry and sad to see someone not have enough integrity to be honest (if that makes sense) I know that not everybody is perfect, but I still can not for the life of me understand why things like this happen.

Anyway this weekend has been probably one of the funnest weekends! (minus this morning!) Last night I went to hang out at my friends house- Dallas. I met Dallas earlier this year, and I could tell that I had found myself one of the greatest friends of my entire life! She makes me laugh and we both have blond moments (granted quite a few more than I do) I honestly don't think I've ever laughed that hard in a long time! Her family is so great.... Her and I are so much alike. While getting dinner we both spilled our food leaving our mark :) We both listen to pretty much the same music. We listened to this guy named William Hung!!!! Now I'm not a perfect singer- but this guy stunk! He was terrible and that's putting it politely! I'm just pretty sure a dying cat would sound better! It was literally that bad. We laughed forever about that. I absolutely love having friends again and I'm so glad that Dallas and I became friends :)

Tomorrow is Kaycee's birthday! She'll be 17 and I'm so excited for her. I'm sure she's way more excited about it than I am. Love you Kaycee! :-)

Oops!!!

This morning I wake up and look at my hair, to myself I'm thinking oh good luck doing anything with this today! Luckily it actually "poofed" and my bangs worked- except this one MASSIVELY stubborn piece of hair. I tried to use the flat iron to fix it. That actually made it worse. SO me being the smart person I am- decided to get the curling iron out. Brilliant idea. . . I've used it a million times before and have never hurt myself. BUT of course today had to be the day that I hurt myself. While trying to curl this stupid piece under I proceed to drop the curling iron down my head! Awesome!!! Just what I needed today! So I now have a nice burn on the side of my head. And while trying to spray the rest of my hair with Hair spray I got it in my burn. The only sad part is that there is not even a good story behind it besides the fact of me being a KLUTZ!!! The joys of doing my hair :) I'm not sure if you can see it in the picture, BUT it is there and you can see it a whole lot better in person :-)

Other than this great burn on my head today was really good :) Sorry Becca, I thought you were someone else lol. I would've waved at you. You're not a freak lol :-)

PRETTIEST RING!

Today I was reading Eclipse, and it's at the part where there talking about marriage. It made me think of the amount of effort that goes into rings. A few weeks ago Kallee and I were looking at engagement rings and we each chose one. Both pictures are of the ring I chose, I can't find Kallee's right now. We also chose dresses. All I can say is getting married has got to be EXTREMELY expensive.

Catching up

Sorry Everyone. I'm really behind. Finals are finally over which is such a good thing. : ) I've almost finished Eclipse and am so excited for Breaking Dawn. On New Years day I was able to see my Mom's side of the family in Idaho and had so much fun seeing everybody again. We dropped Katelyn off at college which was hard for me and was even harder for my Mom, I'm sure. She came home this weekend which was tons of fun- where we didn't have school Friday or Monday.

This is my Grandpa. We had so much fun visiting family, and I'm so grateful for the time we got to spend together, and it was nice to have Katelyn home this weekend.

I hope everybody enjoys there week :)
